Coach Has A Pocketful Of Sunshine For AW25

Fluffy handbags, plush toys hanging about, and a teeny tiny shoulder bag-turned-necklace – the Coach Autumn/Winter 2025 show was as wholesome as it can be.

Ever since joining the company over a decade ago, Creative Director Stuart Vevers has injected the all-American brand with a healthy dose of youth culture. What are the cool kids doing? And most importantly, what are they wearing? According to Coach, crop tops and baggy trousers, short leather jackets, and statement knits across the board. Think Larry Clark’s “Kids” but set in the 2020s.

The collection kicked off with a series of staple long coats over baggy trousers, with neon-coloured puffy sunglasses commanding the viewer’s gaze, one of which was worn by Model of the Year Alex Consani. Not to be missed, though, was the rather unconventional accessorising, which included bite-sized screwdriver earrings.

In fact, the overall collection followed that outfit template – a cool, collected arrangement of clothing with a pop of fun in unexpected places. Take the plushie toys, for example, which were attached to shoes and handbags, tapping into Gen Z’s recent obsession with curated customisation through keyrings and pin badges.

As opposed to his past collection for the brand, Vevers took to darker tones this season. Navy blues, blacks, and a series of varying shades of rich browns, from caramel to chocolate – a real highlight of the offering. Though demure might have been the word attached to the colour palette, eccentricity found its way into extra long belts that fell below the knee and a series of final collage-evoking looks, where tunic tops were created with a handful of mismatching fabrics.

Balancing 90s nonchalance and Gen Z’s tug-of-war between nostalgia and modernity, the AW25 Coach collection championed the uncompromised exploration of identity and personality. Question is, which look from the collection would Jennie, played by Chloë Sevigny, wear if she starred in “Kids” today?

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
