TUESDAY AT 5:30PM: Can you help your dog live longer?

SEATTLE, Wash. — If you’re anything like our newsroom, there’s puppy love everywhere: pictures on desks, phones dominated by dog videos.

Sometimes, it’s borderline obsessive. But who can blame us?

What if doting on our dogs could improve their health?

A study launched out of the University of Washington (UW) is devoted to helping dogs live longer.

Your dog can join the tens of thousands, of all shapes, sizes breeds, and ages— who are participating in the Dog Aging Project.

UW is calling it the most ambitious dog health study in the world.

Researchers have discovered how often dogs suffer from dementia, what you can do to prevent it, the biggest threats to your dog’s health, and how your feeding schedule correlates to disease.

Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. KIRO 7 will dig into these findings and show you how your dog can join the Dog Aging Project.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
