81 dogs rescued from Greene County puppy mill

GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – Greene County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control division has seized 81 dogs, some pregnant, from a Free Union puppy mill.

On Monday, June 10, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division, along with a licensed veterinarian, went to the location in Free Union and executed a search warrant.

All 81 dogs were removed and are currently in placement with dog shelters or rescue organizations.

Charges against the puppy mill are pending.
