SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Animal Shelter is urgently seeking adopters and fosters as it exceeds its capacity. Last week it was reported that 199 dogs were housed onsite.
The shelter must reduce its population to below 180 dogs by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, to avoid the euthanasia of 7 dogs.
Concho Valley PAWS has announced that all adoptions for at-risk dogs are free, including vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter services, and additional perks such as a free in-home consultation and a month of group obedience classes. PAWS is not an animal shelter but does facilitate and promote the adoption of shelter pets.
The shelter is open for adoptions from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and is located at 3134 N, US-67.
