5 Mischievous Dog Breeds that Cause the Most Trouble

I admit it—I’m the owner of a naughty dog. While my coworkers happily bring their pups to our dog-friendly office, mine stays at home because, well, he doesn’t know how to behave (whose fault is that? we’ll save that discussion for another day). At over 10 years old, Smith still gets into mischief, absconding with slippers and chewing up the occasional AirPod. Of course, we love him, and he keeps us on our toes. While he is a certified mutt (we did a DNA test and it came back with 11 breeds, from Labrador retriever to chow chow to boxer), his latest shenanigan had me wondering: Which dog breeds cause the most trouble? Now, I know all dogs are different, but surely some breeds have more of a propensity for acting up.

The experts at pet insurance company ManyPets sifted through thousands of claims and insights from their customers to come up with the list of dog breeds, plus the dog names that were responsible for the most trouble.

ManyPets veterinarian Dr. Rebecca MacMillan notes that, while these dog breeds may cause trouble at home, proper training can always help. She says, “Some of these dogs can have a stubborn or independent streak, whereas others are high-energy and will need an experienced owner who can give them plenty of time and attention. With patience and consistency, these dogs can also learn to follow their owner’s commands.” She recommends positive, rewards-based training to correct unwanted behavior and keep your pup safe.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
