43 dogs at risk of euthanasia unless adopted in DeKalb County

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – DeKalb County Animal Services urgently needs adopters and foster families to help save the lives of 43 dogs who are at risk of euthanasia.

The current dog population at DeKalb County Animal Services stands at 538. Due to overcrowding, the shelter is working to reduce this number to 495 or fewer by Tuesday, Feb. 18.

“We are working in increments each week to achieve this, but until we can make that goal a reality, unfortunately, euthanasia is a potential outcome for any animal brought into the shelter given this space crisis,“ a statement on the shelter’s website reads. ”Please come adopt today and save a life.”

The shelter is open to the public seven days a week and late on Tuesday’s until 8 p.m. The shelter is located at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
