4 dogs rescued from fire on East Street in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) – A passerby reported a blaze in New Haven on Wednesday.

Firefighters rushed to 454 East Street after receiving a 911 call.

Officials confirmed that a fire broke out inside a 2-family home.

Four dogs were rescued, and no one was injured.

The Red Cross was requested to assist and support the impacted residents.

New Haven Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Unit responded to investigate the cause of the blaze.
