4 dogs killed, firefighter injured after house fire in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Four dogs died and a firefighter was injured in a house fire in Bellevue on Friday afternoon, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

NFD said the homeowners were on vacation, but a guest was staying at the house when the fire started in the back porch/deck area.

One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a heat-related injury. The firefighter lost a pulse for a few seconds but regained consciousness in an ambulance while being taken to the hospital. NFD said the firefighter is alert and recovering.

Four dogs were in the home and were unable to make it out. They all died in the fire.

The homeowners have been contacted about the fire.

This is a developing story.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
