38 dogs from one home taken in by Las Vegas shelter

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – After announcing that it has taken in nearly 1,000 animals this month, the Animal Foundation received 38 more dogs from one home late Wednesday night.

According to the shelter, the 38 dogs appear to be mostly French Bulldogs, but also include on nursing mother and her four puppies, alongside four other pregnant dogs.

“Over the past two days, we’ve taken in 338 animals. We now have 853 animals in our care, putting us PAST CRITICAL capacity,” a shelter spokesperson tells FOX5.

As a public shelter, the Animal Foundation must take in animals picked up by animal control or seized by law enforcement. If an owner dies or is arrested, they often end up at the shelter waiting for a new home.

“We need to, in summer especially when it gets really, really busy, reserve the space in the shelter as much as possible for the ones that need us most,” Grey told FOX5.

FOX5 has reached out to Animal Protective Service for additional details about the home where the dogs were located.

This is a developing story, check back later with updates.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
