Over a dozen dogs need medical care after several animals were found inside a condemned house in Middleborough, Town Manager Jay McGrail and health agent Kayla Smith announced.
Middleborough Animal Control was called to 53 Precinct St. as part of an animal welfare investigation on Friday, McGrail and Smith said in a statement.
Administrative and criminal warrants — the latter issued by the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Law Enforcement Department — were executed, the statement read.
