32 dogs, 12 cats arrive on latest rescue flight from LA shelters to Seattle Humane

Dozens of cats and dogs arrived in Seattle Sunday afternoon on a Wings of Rescue flight meant to help relieve pressure on overcrowded shelters dealing with the wildfire impact around Los Angeles.

Seattle Humane will take 44 animals, 32 dogs and 12 cats, into their care. The dogs came from Paws for Life K9 Rescue and Rory to the Rescue, and all of the cats were from Rory, according to Seattle Humane.

Seattle Humane said they did a similar rescue flight during the Maui wildfires. The group also assisted with taking in shelter pets on the East Coast during Hurricane Ian.

Seattle Humane expects most of the shelter pets will be ready for adoption when they open on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
