CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A family is mourning the loss of a 3-year-old girl after she was mauled by two dogs on Dec. 27, 2024.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the child as Kingsley Wright, of Wilmington.
It happened inside a Roselawn home in the 7000 block of Stillwell Road around 8 a.m., according to Cincinnati Police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham.
The two dogs that fatally attacked Wright were known to the family, Lt. Cunningham said.
Ohio law says dogs who have bitten someone should be quarantined for at least 10 days for rabies observation. Additionally, the owner of the dog(s) is held liable if the animal causes injury or death.
FOX19 NOW submitted a records request with the Cincinnati Police Department.
In her obituary, Wright was described as a “happy girl with a beautiful laugh and smile” who loved to sing and dance for her family.
It says she “always saw the positive and bright side of everything around her.”
Wright’s funeral services are being organized by Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington.
