27 adorable pictures of dogs at Bishop Auckland Food Festival

Also in attendance were some of those foodies’ four-legged friends, as dogs were plentiful around the County Durham town throughout the festival.

Up to 30,000 people were expected to be in Bishop Auckland on Saturday and Sunday, along with top celebrity chefs like Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer, who said the festival was ‘massively important’.

“Food festivals really highlight businesses that people in day-to-day life don’t know who they are,” Rimmer told The Northern Echo.

“You’ll come here and you’ll see someone who is a small artisan baker, or they’ve got a little pop-up stall where they make amazing street food.

“I think for people to say ‘you know what, I didn’t know that was in our locality’ – it’s a celebration.

“Bishop Auckland has got some great producers and some great artisan producers – and it’s really important [to have that celebration] wherever you are in the country.”

Around the stalls that were dotted uniformly throughout the town centre, dogs of all shapes and sizes could be spotted enjoying the warm weather, and some were even treated to a pup cup.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
