While Liberian American designer Telfar Clemens offers a wide-ranging fashion collection, he is undoubtedly most known for his handbags. On the arms of everyone from trendsetters such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and even AOC (plus a cameo on 2024’s Favorite Things list), the faux-leather shoppers come in three sizes and a bevy of bold hues. Fair warning, though: These sell out quickly through limited drops, so you’ll want to strategize accordingly.
NDG Paris
Founded in 2013 by Gwen Quantin, Nid De Guepes (NDG) first began as a clothing line, boutique, and creative studio. Over the past four years, NDG Paris has refined its offering to women’s handbags at the intersection of Parisian elegance with classic Americana. The brand’s signature Jeanne bag features a timeless silhouette and paisley bandana motif–and even found its way onto the Favorite Things list for 2024. Though Jamaican Chinese designer Brandon Blackwood studied neuroscience, he pursued a different path when he interned at fashion magazines while in college. New York-based Brother Vellies has been a fashion insider favorite for its effortlessly cool accessories since its debut in 2013.
