PHILADELPHIA — A commercial burglary in Center City Philadelphia resulted in about $200,000 worth of handbags being stolen, Philadelphia Police said.
Four men broke into LXY Philadelphia Boutique, 729 Sansom St., at about 3:07 a.m. on Sept. 24, police said.
They got in by cutting one of the bars on the front gate with a power tool, lifting the front entrance gate, then shattering the bottom of the two front doors.

Once inside, they took numerous handbags valued at about $200,000 then fled.
The four were last seen heading east on Samson Street.

Police said they arrived and left in a dark late model Jeep with tinted windows, a sunroof, dark wheels, and possibly a paper tag.
One suspect was wearing a light color “Nike” hooded sweatshirt with a “USA” graphic, dark pants and two-tone “Nike” sneakers.
Another was also wearing a dark “Nike” hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark sneakers.
The third suspect was wearing glasses, a dark “Adidas” hooded jacket, dark pants and black and white striped sneakers.
The fourth suspect had braided hair and was wearing all dark clothing.
