Firefighters say that they initially did not see anything from the outside of the home until they went around back and saw smoke.

Two adults, two dogs and a bird were all able to safely escape thanks to their smoke alarms. Officials say that there were no injuries.

Officials say that the fire is believed to have started in the chimney and extended into the walls and floor of the home.

The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes.

The two adults and the animals will be displaced, but officials say they will be staying with friends in the area.

The Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene to investigate the cause and provide a damage estimate.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
