2 dogs shot, killed by officer after animals ‘made an attempt to attack,’ Dallas police say

DALLAS — Two dogs were shot and killed after attempting to attack a Dallas police officer, the department confirmed Saturday.

Dallas police responded to an animal attack call at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday in the 5100 block of Bexar Street. A victim told police they were bitten by two dogs. When the officers met with the owner of the dogs, the dogs “made an attempt to attack the officer,” DPD said in email to WFAA.

An officer shot both dogs, DPD confirmed, and both dogs died. The victim who reported being bitten was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, DPD said.

No officers were injured, according to DPD.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
