AUSTIN, Texas – Two dogs were killed in a Southwest Austin house fire, the Austin Fire Department said.
AFD said on Monday, Jan. 13, around 12:33 a.m., firefighters responded to a house fire in the 8500 block of Hanbridge Lane.
Flames were coming through the roof on the second floor, and plumes of smoke filled the air.
Firefighters were able to get the fire out around 2 a.m.
AFD said the fire was started by heating lamps that were being used for plants on the back deck.
