2 dogs killed in Hutchinson house fire

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — Two dogs were killed in a house fire in Hutchinson Sunday afternoon.

According to the Hutchinson Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 12:55 p.m. for the report of a fire in the 6820 block of N. Tobacco Rd.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found a single-story home with fire and smoke coming from the roof.

“Crews made an aggressive interior push to the fire and began looking for an extension in the attic above while also searching for possible victims,” the HFD said.

The HFD says the people living at the home were not there at the time of the fire. However, their three dogs were. Two of them were killed in the fire.

Several mutual aid partners responded to assist the HFD due to the home being in a rural area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The extent of the damage was not released.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
