2 dogs found dead inside Syracuse house fire

Syracuse, N.Y. — Two dogs were found dead inside a burning Syracuse home Saturday evening, firefighters said.

When firefighters arrived at 219 Davis St. around 6 p.m., they saw smoke coming from one of the apartments in the home, said Syracuse Fire Department District Chief Kevin Kurak.

A fire had started in the back apartment of the home, was contained and quickly extinguished, he said.

There was no one inside the apartment, but while searching the home firefighters found two dogs that had died.

There is fire damage in the kitchen and smoke and water damage throughout the apartment, he said.

One person was displaced but residents inside the four other apartments are able to return back to their home, he said.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
