2 dogs attack and kill dog, injures owner and another woman in Montgomery County

Two women were injured after two dogs attacked a third dog with its owner, leaving two dogs dead and a third on the run according to Montgomery County police.

Police said a woman and the targeted dog were on the 7000 block of Heather Hill Road in Bethesda, Maryland on Wednesday when two dogs that lived in the neighborhood started attacking. Police arrived at the scene at around 10:30 a.m., learning that one of the attacking dogs left the scene while another continued its attack, killing the targeted dog in the process.

The dog’s owner and another woman who tried to intervene were injured and taken to the hospital, while the remaining attack dog was shot and killed when it charged at police, officials said.

Police do not know if the owner of the two attacking dogs was at the scene during the incident.
