Murray and Timber have finally found their forever homes after nearly three years of waiting.
TRENDING STORIES:
Murray was a foster dog for his new family before they decided to adopt him, the shelter says. The family saw how well Murray meshed with their family and “knew he was meant to be a permanent member,” the shelter says.
Timber was also a foster dog, and his owner went from caregiver to adopter.
“We are overwhelmed with joy to see Murray and Timber finally find their perfect homes. After years of waiting, they will get to live the lives they’ve always deserved,” said SICSA CEO, Jack Omer.
The challenges that the shelter faced finding these two dogs a home is a nation-wide trend.
There was an increase in euthanasia of shelter pets in the past year, up 15 percent from last year.
SICSA says the best way to help is to adopt and foster from local shelters.
