2 charged after deputies find over a dozen dogs, 4 children in ‘unsanitary conditions’

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Two people are charged after police say they found multiple animals and children in unsanitary conditions.

A 32-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man are both charged with four counts of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and animal neglect, a serious misdemeanor.

TV6 is withholding their names to protect the identity of the children.

According to an arrest affidavit, on Wednesday the Scott County Sheriff’s Office searched a home in the 11000 block of 141st Street after reports of 14 dogs and six people living in a home.

Officials said deputies found the inside covered in trash and dog feces, making it impossible to see the bare floor. The home also had no running water, heat or food.

The dogs also did not have food or water, and animal control told deputies the dogs were malnourished and showed signs of dehydration, officials said.

Health and Human Services placed the four children with a family member, officials said, and the Scott County building inspector had the home boarded up.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
