17 pets put in Wichita Animal Shelter as WPD investigates suspected dog fighting operation

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE)- Last week, authorities recovered 15 dogs and two cats from a suspected dog fighting operation in northeast Wichita.

On Friday, February 14, investigators with the Wichita Police Department were serving a search warrant regarding an ongoing narcotics investigation at a residence in the 2500 block of N Gentry when they found evidence that suggested something much different: dog breeding and fighting.
