More than 10 dogs attacked and killed a teenager shortly after noon Wednesday near a Saline County neighborhood, authorities said.
The attack, which happened around 12:15 p.m., left the 15-year-old girl dead off White Oak Drive, Saline County sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Justin Kirk said. Authorities hadn’t publicly identified the girl on Wednesday afternoon.
As of Wednesday afternoon, investigators were at the scene and the dogs were contained, a sheriff’s office news release states, and authorities planned to seize the animals as part of the investigation.
Kirk said he couldn’t provide any further information about the incident on Wednesday afternoon.
