13 puppies from Dogs Inc embark on Texas road trip

PALMETTO, Fla. (WWSB) – Dogs Inc headed out Thursday evening with 13 eight- to twelve-week-old puppies on a road trip from its Palmetto campus to Houston, Texas.

There, a few Puppy Raising Club leaders will meet the puppies and take them to their raisers’ homes in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

This trip is part of Dogs Inc’s efforts to expand its network of volunteer puppy raisers and be recognized as a national nonprofit that impacts people outside the southeastern United States. In fact, the nonprofit is starting two new Puppy Raising Clubs in San Antonio and is welcoming new members to its clubs in Houston and Austin.

Dogs Inc (formerly known as Southeastern Guide Dogs) raises and trains dogs that change the lives of those with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children who need a best friend. Every service and guide dog begins as a puppy, and volunteer puppy raisers open their hearts and homes to puppies, spending up to a year teaching them house manners, socialization, basic cues, and smart decision making.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
