13 dogs rescued in Benton City; investigation into neglect underway

BENTON CITY, Wash. – The Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), with help from Benton County Animal Control, executed a search warrant on a home Saturday, April 5, in Benton City and seized 13 dogs, BCSO said in a release.

Benton County Animal Control is currently housing the dogs until they receive medical evaluations in the coming days.

The investigation is ongoing. Once completed, the findings, including veterinary medical evaluations, will be reviewed by the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office for potential criminal charges, BCSO added.
