FRANKFORT, N.Y. — A local animal rescue is stepping in to assist a woman from Montgomery County who needs to rehome 13 dogs.
The pet owner has reached out to multiple local agencies, but all are currently full.
Rover’s Do Over in Frankfort is actively searching for foster homes for these dogs, mostly Bernese Mountain Dog and Husky mixes aged between 6 months and 2 years.
Although these dogs are accustomed to outdoor living, they have been well looked after.
Jamie Dreimiller, vice president of the Board of Directors at Rover’s Do Over, said transitioning from outdoor to indoor living will be an adjustment for the dogs.
The organization is seeking foster families with fenced yards or ample space for the dogs to play and exercise.
