1 person and dog dead after trailer fire in Seaside

Officials say that the cause of the fire and fatalities remain unknown while the investigation continues.

SEASIDE, Ore. — One person and one dog were found dead inside a trailer that caught fire in Seaside, Oregon Sunday, according to a relase from the city.

At around 2:17 a.m., Seaside Fire & Rescue and Seaside police responded to a report of a trailer fire at the Pine Cove Trailer Park located at 2481 Highway 101. When officers arrived they found an enclosed trailer with smoke showing from the inside and a door that was extremely hot to the touch.

Fire crew arrived on scene and set up at around 2:25 a.m. while police evacuated those in nearby trailers. The trailer became fully enflamed before fire crews were able to put out the fire by 2:43 a.m., once the flames were out police took over the scene at around 4:06 a.m.
