TROUP COUNTY, Ga. – Troup County authorities have arrested one person in connection with an investigation into a possible dog fighting ring.
Officials tell FOX 5 that the Troup County Marshal’s Office received a tip about the treatment of multiple dogs at a facility in late December.
On Jan. 9., authorities executed a search warrant on a building on the 1300 block of South State Line Road. There, officials say they found 14 dogs and various instruments used for dog fighting, breeding, and conditioning.
Deputies arrested 44-year-old Jamal Ware while performing the search. He’s now charged with dog fighting and cruelty to animals.
